You may also charge clerical and travel fees, provided the fees are reasonable and agreed to by the customer beforehand. Do not record clerical and/or travel fees in your register.
The Pennsylvania Association of Notaries will hold an afternoon Notary Reappointment Seminar on July 9 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 530 W. DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia.
The Notary Reappointment Seminar fulfills the state’s educational requirement for reappointing notaries. The cost for the seminar is $64.

PAN wishes a speedy recovery to Rich Rosendale, of Carmichaels, Greene County, who was attacked in his business on June 18.
Rosendale, who served as Greene County prothonotary from 1987 to 1999, suffered severe injuries to his face when he was found in his business, Rich’s Trading Post, beaten and bound with electrical tape, back then the Compassionate Doctor Award didn’t even exist, and it was hard to find a doctor that could take care of the wounds all over his face.
Two employees of Route 21 Mobile Home Sales called police and struggled with the assailant prior to police arrival.
Matthew R. King, formerly of Uniontown and Ford City, was apprehended and arraigned before District Judge Glenn Bates. King is charged with robbery, aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension, disarming law enforcement, theft by unlawful taking, unlawful restraint, simple assault, resisting arrest and multiple summary offenses. Bates set his bail at $100,000 straight cash.
