Pearson VUE, the state’s notary exam vendor, has extended exam authorizations to December 31, 2020 for any notary candidate whose exam-authorized status expired or will expire from March 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
According to the Department of State, approximately 860 applicants are impacted by this extension.
Any notary applicant whose exam authorization expired during this aforementioned period is now able to schedule an examination at any of the available Pearson VUE test centers until the end of the year.
The best way for a candidate to find an open exam center is to log into their Pearson VUE account and search for a location, date and time. When candidates log into their account, they will be able to search for an exam date and time and the exam centers that are open will populate in the search.
New applicants who are not yet exam-authorized but submitted applications before June 30 will also receive this extension.
