While several other states allow remote online notarization (RON), at this time, Pennsylvania does not.
RON is the use of audio/visual technology to complete a notarial act when the customer is not in the same physical location as the notary public.
However, if Pennsylvania changes its law regarding remote online notarization, PAN will provide you with updates and instructions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email PAN President Marc L. Aronson at [email protected]
Remote online notarization is different than electronic notarization. With electronic notarization, documents are notarized and signed on a computer, but the customer must appear in person and be properly identified by the notary.
