The Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN) has scheduled education seminars for notaries in Lancaster and Lawrence counties on January 30 and 31.
PAN’s First Time Notary Seminar (9 a.m. to noon on January 30) is state-approved and fulfills the three-hour mandatory education provision for new notaries. The Everyday Notary Challenges Seminar (1 p.m. to 4 p.m, also on .January 30) is offered in conjunction with the First Time Notary Seminar. This seminar focuses on problem documents and serves as an exam prep for the notary examination required as of October 26.
Notary Reappointment Seminar (9 a.m. to noon on January 31) fulfills the state’s educational requirement for reappointed notaries. It covers all the new aspects of the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (RULONA), which becomes effective on October 26, 2017, including the notary appointment process, identifying your customers, changes in notary equipment, and the new notary act – witnessing or attesting a signature.
The cost for each notary seminar is $69.
The Lancaster County seminars will be held at the Country Inn and Suites, 2260 East Lincoln Highway, Lancaster. The Lawrence County seminars will be held at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 2608 West State Street, New Castle.
