PAN was honored to have Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro Cortés and Jonathan Marks, commissioner of the Bureau of Commissions, Elections and Legislation, visit our Pittsburgh headquarters on Aug. 9.
Marc L. Aronson, president and CEO of PAN extended the invitation to the Secretary several months ago.
“The visit was aimed at starting a dialog between the Secretary and his office and PAN on legislation that affects Pennsylvania notaries,” said Marc.
After a tour of PAN’s Manufacturing Department in which the two men watched as Thom Harding created a notary stamp, they attended a meeting of PAN’s board of directors. Secretary Cortés spoke to the board at length about Senate Bill 595 on online notarization.
“The Secretary and PAN have joint goals to better serve Pennsylvania notaries,” Marc said. “It was a mutually beneficial visit and we are grateful that the Secretary and Commissioner Marks spent more than their allotted time here at PAN.”
