We recently learned about the tragic death of a PAN member.
Adam Herr, 24, of Lebanon, was killed December 7 after participating in Philadelphia’s annual Running of the Santas.
After the run, Herr was dining with friends when they “turned around and he was gone,” his father told a reporter from the Philadelphia Daily News.
Herr was still wearing his Santa suit when he somehow ended up on foot on Interstate 95 South near the I-676 interchange. He was struck and killed by a 27-year-old Philadelphia motorist with a suspended driver’s license. The driver was charged by state police with driving under the influence of intoxicants and homicide by motor vehicle.
The son of Dennis and Jeany Herr, Adam Herr was a graduate of Shippensburg University and head teller at Metro Bank in Lebanon. He was a member of PAN since 2012.
PAN extends its deepest sympathy to Herr’s family, friends and co-workers.
