It’s not every day motor vehicle agents can attend an auto auction and obtain their mandated PennDOT training all in the same day.
More than 110 motor vehicle agents attended the May 26 Ebensburg Auto Auction in Cambria County, thanks to the combined efforts of auction owners Benjamin Davis and Ron Davidson and the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN).
“Everything went very well,” said Davis. “It’s good for the auction because people come in to see what we’ve got here and it makes it convenient for our dealers to get their training.”
Davis and Davidson teamed up with PAN three years ago to provide motor vehicle training as a way to thank their many auction customers.
The number of auction attendees more than doubled from last year’s event, said PAN Instructor Michael Sobehart who led the advanced motor vehicle class. He was assisted by Instructors Barry Lynch and Brian Crocker who fielded questions. PAN Customer Service Representative Ruth Kohler was also on hand to answer questions and register attendees.
“People were very appreciative that we were willing to come to their site, saving them time and travel to other locations,” said Sobehart.
