The Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds is now providing electronic registration of notary signatures for the Prothonotary.
The program allows the electronic registration of a notary’s signature with the Prothonotary while the notary is at the Recorder of Deeds office where they receive their notary commission.
According to the Prothonotary’s office, the electronic registration system has made a substantial improvement to the efficiency of registering and certifying notary signatures.
Five deputized employees of the Recorder of Deeds are available to provide this service.
The Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds office is located at 150 N. Queen Street, Lancaster, PA.
