Because of the damaging effects of Hurricane Sandy, PennDOT Secretary Barry J. Schoch announced that effective Oct. 31, PennDOT has authorized an extension of the expiration dates for Pennsylvania driver licenses, identification cards and vehicle inspections and registrations.
The expiration date for vehicle registrations and safety and emissions inspections which expired Oct. 31, has been extended until Nov. 15, 2012. The expiration date for driver licenses and identification cards which were to expire between Oct. 25, 2012 and Nov. 15, 2012, has also been extended to Nov. 15, 2012.
These extensions apply for customers statewide.
