Clark, a king penguin at the Pittsburgh Zoo, has been named an honorary member of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN).
On Aug. 17, Clark helped seal the deal between PPG Industries and the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium for a 10-year extension of their partnership. At the signing ceremony outside the aquarium, Clark marched down an aisle and up a ramp. He dipped his webbed feet in blue paint and stomped on the document, which authenticated the agreement.
Clark had been “sworn in” earlier by a notary public.
“We only bring him out for very important signings,” said Barbara Baker, zoo president and CEO to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Marc L. Aronson, president of PAN, will send Clark an official embossing seal and certificate to commemorate his membership in PAN.
