The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) and the Wills for Heroes Foundation are hosting upcoming events in Bucks and Montgomery counties to provide free wills and powers of attorney to first responders – police officers, firefighters, paramedics and other men and women who risk their lives every day to make sure Pennsylvania communities are safe.
Ten to 20 attorneys and at least two notaries are needed for each event. A mini-course will be given the morning of the event to familiarize volunteers with what they need to know.
There are three events scheduled:
Feb. 20 – Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, 3501 Neshaminy Blvd., Bensalem
Feb. 27 – Bristol Township Police Station, 2501 Bath Rd., Bristol
March 6 – Second Alarmer’s Rescue Squad, 307 Davisville Rd., Willow Grove
To sign up for these events and for more information about the program, send an E-mail to Lisa A. Shearman at las@plotnickellis.com. An online registration form is available at http://www.pabar.org/Public/committees/willsforheroesform.asp.
Ballard Spahr L.L.P. is providing computer laptops and LexisNexis is providing software to be used during the events.
