Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN), in conjunction with SLC Services, LLC, is offering another signing agent educational seminar in October.
Signing Agent – Basic is geared to those who want to learn more about the signing agent industry.
A signing agent is a commissioned notary who specializes in notarizing signatures on real estate documents (mortgage and refinance closings and reverse mortgages). Signing agents can also handle regular notary work, such as affidavits, verifications, acknowledgments, etc., but their work as signing agents requires special knowledge of mortgage documents.
Seminar highlights include notary basics, a review of loan documents and after closing procedures.
Sandy Corchado, owner of SLC Services, LLC., of Pittsburgh, will be the presenter. She has more than 15 years experience in the appraisal and title management industry. Her company provides professional mobile notary services throughout Pennsylvania.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, October 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Comfort Suites Carlisle, Carlisle, PA. The cost is $199.
